Taco Chelo is a collaboration between A CHEF, artist, aND restaurateur.
Suny Santana
Hailing from Monterrey, Mexico, Chef Suny grew up cooking alongside his mother who taught him to make Mexican staples from scratch with a focus on quality ingredients and simple cooking techniques. The taqueria is named after his mother Consuelo, nicknamed “Chelo,” who has influenced his cooking style and whose recipes now take center stage on the menu.
GENNARO GARCIA
Acclaimed international artist, taquero de corazón and winemaker spends most of his time between his art studios in different cities in Mexico and USA, growing up in his parent’s restaurant kitchens in Mexico is where his love for Mexican food got him to collaborate with some of the the best chefs in Mexico with some of his art in their restaurants, and homes , his designs can be seen in different restaurants on both sides of the border along his art at galleries and museums.
AARON CHAMBERLIN
With deep hospitality roots Aaron has been in the restaurant business for the past 35 years. Aaron has honed his culinary skills with chefs in San Francisco, New York and Phoenix. In 2018, Aaron opened Taco Chelo with his partners Chef Suny Santana and Artist Gennaro Garcia.
